The dashboard

Your dashboard lives at your own address (you.shimmer.fyi). It is built around three surfaces: Home, Chat, and Memory. Everything else, including Connectors, Docs, and Settings, sits one tap deeper so the surfaces stay calm.

At the top center floats the agent chip: your agent's avatar, name, and a live status line inside an animated ring. A glance tells you whether your agent is idle, writing a brief, reading your inbox, or researching. Tap or hover the chip and it expands into the navigation, with Chat and Activity (things running now, plus anything waiting on your OK) always one tap away. Your account menu sits on the right, with notifications inside it, and a small usage meter shows how much of this month's allowance you have used.

Home

Home is a glance, not a feed. It answers "what do I need to know right now?" without scrolling:

• Arrival brief. When a scheduled brief landed while you were away, it appears at the top the moment you open the app. One tap opens the full brief as a conversation in Chat, reply box ready. Dismissing it marks it read; a newer brief will surface again on its own.
• Needs your OK. Anything your agent wants to send out (a mail, an invite, a message) waits here and in Activity as an approval card, with exactly what will go out and to whom. Approve or deny in one tap.
• What changed. The Activity view shows what your agent is working on right now and the recurring work it runs for you, so the agent's day is never a black box.
• Getting-started strip. While you are setting up, a short checklist tracks the remaining steps (connect a source, add people, and so on). It disappears once you are done and never comes back.
• Today at a glance. With a calendar connected, Home greets you with the day's shape: how many meetings, what is next up.

Chat

Chat is the full conversation surface with your agent:

• Conversations, listed by recency, including the briefs your agent wrote. A brief is just a conversation you can reply to.
• A reply box with voice input. Type or hold the mic; voice notes are transcribed and understood.
• Grounded answers. When an answer draws on your knowledge or live data, the sources are listed under it. No source, no claim.
• Inline approval cards. When a request would send something out, the approval card appears right in the thread. It shows the exact content and recipient, and it cannot be talked around: approving it is a button press, not a sentence.

Memory

Memory is the people and knowledge your agent reasons with:

• Inbox. New people your agent noticed (from your calendar, inbox, and conversations) wait here as suggestions. Nothing enters your network as fact until you review it: keep a suggestion to graduate the person into your network, or dismiss it. Imported items wait for the same keep-or-discard review.
• People. Everyone you have graduated, searchable and grouped by organization. The count here is only confirmed people; suggestions waiting in the Inbox are counted separately, so the two numbers never blur. Opening a person shows what your agent knows about them.
• Who is going cold. Ask "who has gone cold in my network?" in Chat, and on plans with relationship warmth your agent flags important relationships going quiet before they lapse.
• Files. The raw view of your knowledge, when you want to see exactly what is written down.

Connectors

Connectors live one tap behind Home. This is where your agent gets its inputs.

To connect Google or Microsoft: open Connectors and choose the account type. Consent runs on a verified app in a popup; you approve the access on Google's or Microsoft's own screen. The resulting credential is held by a hardware-isolated credential broker operated by human.tech, never on Shimmer's servers. Reads are brokered on demand, and anything outbound still requires your one-tap approval.

What happens the moment you connect: your agent goes to work. Meeting attendees, inbox correspondents, and contacts flow into Memory, so your network fills in within minutes, not days. Briefs start drawing on your real calendar and inbox immediately.

Each connector row shows its connected accounts. You can link more than one account per connector (a work account and a personal one, for example), and disconnect any of them at any time.
