Overview

Shimmer

Assemble your team. They act only when you approve.

Shimmer is a proactive personal agent. It reads your inbox, calendar, and the people who matter, thinks with your own knowledge base, and watches the rhythms of your day. Then it proposes: briefs, drafts, next moves. Every outbound action stops at an approval card with your name on it.

Unlike a chat window you have to remember to open, Shimmer is measured by what it surfaces before you ask: a grounded morning brief, prep in hand before every meeting, follow-ups that slipped, relationships going cold.

What makes it different

  • Proactive, not reactive. It initiates. The product is the agent-initiated message, not the reply.
  • You stay in command. Anything outbound (mail, invites, messages) is gated behind your explicit approval. The agent asks. You confirm.
  • Talk to it to run it. Settings, capabilities, and your people can be managed in plain language: "set my brief time to 7am", "turn on deep research", "forget that person". See Talking to your agent.
  • Your data, your box, your agent. Each user gets a private homeserver and agent container. Connected-account credentials live in a hardware-isolated broker, never on Shimmer's servers. Voice is transcribed locally. See Privacy & data.
  • Grounded in your world. Answers are built from your own knowledge base and people, with sources. They are not generic model output.
